weather permitting

showers, storms...
so much salty water in a twenty-four
we nearly drowned

the basement flooded...
luckily for us, pre-emptive measures had been used
-- much was still intact
and nothing completely ruined

even a picnic was arranged,
weather permitting

and now I'm weary of it all...
but I'm glad I went.
