cats and boys
"boy, you're something else!"
she exclamated affectionally
at the cat,
when it,
purring with contentment of participating
in its mistress' life and doings,
walked on the laptop keyboard
knocked down some books
and shed a few hairs in her cup of coffee
and I thought,
what an apt analogy of me and you
you're not a cat
and I'm not your mistress
--no pun intended--
but you are
you are my something else
free-willed and wanting
able and aided
charming and intervening
boy, you're something else
she exclamated affectionally
at the cat,
when it,
purring with contentment of participating
in its mistress' life and doings,
walked on the laptop keyboard
knocked down some books
and shed a few hairs in her cup of coffee
and I thought,
what an apt analogy of me and you
you're not a cat
and I'm not your mistress
--no pun intended--
but you are
you are my something else
free-willed and wanting
able and aided
charming and intervening
boy, you're something else
